Default MTEXT, How to turn off auto bullets?

I have been trying to type EL. 1070" but every time I press enter to start a new line, MTEXT assumes I want EL. to be my new bullet and I end up with EM. , EN. etc.
I do not have the choice of leaving out the punctuation.
Is there a way to turn this off?

Have you tried the right-click menu? Try the Allow Auto-list setting. I think that is what you are looking for.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.
