Default Error message when inserting a Block - Undefined block #-1

Has anyone seen an error like this one: "Undefined block #-1" ?

This happened twice this week to one of my users. They were trying to insert a block, a different one both times, and they got this message. In order to get it to work properly we had to run an Audit on the file, purge out the suspect block, erase the audit 'text', and then restart AutoCad.

We were unable to insert ANY blocks while we were getting the error, those same blocks inserted fine after the above mentioned 'fix'.

The error is only coming from one file with 30 or so layout tabs, all other files seem to be fine.

Yes. I used to see that a lot with "Ausfont" blocks.
I never solved it but it didn't seem to do any harm either.

    Hi

From the information found in the following links, it would appear a _.Recover and an _.Audit might help...

    Read down a bit more....

    Right you are.

That's a long way down though.
