    Question Documentation of Linked REVIT Files

    I have created one "main file" to host several Revit files that i have linked into it.
    the problem i am having is that the text and room tags are not being shown in the "main file". i have been able to change the setting to show the specific floor plan of the linked file but text and room tags are still not showing. must all the documentation be done in this "main file" or is there something i am missing or not doing? i am using 8.1 is this something that can be fixed by upgrading to 9?.......i would appreciate any help or advice.
    thank you.

    Default Re: Documentation of Linked REVIT Files

    Linking Revit files has become better in V9. So upgrading will help.
    One thing to make sure is that in the main file view you link the linked file view that has the annotations. This can be done by,
    Visibility--->Rvt Links--->display settings--->Custom--->Linked View
    and you select the right view type (coarse, medium, fine) in the main file that corresponds to the one you have in the linked file.

    Talking Re: Documentation of Linked REVIT Files

    I have 4 small models linked into one project but have all 4 elevations labeled in their individual projects already. Yet those labels don't show up in the Linked File. Is there a way to see these labels or do I have to re-label in the Linked Project also? I tried the above method but it doesn't work for me.
