Angry No AutoCAD 2007 to 2002 Copy & Paste fixes work...

I've tried all the Forum suggestions & Links I could find, but SaveAs a 2007 file to 2000 works except I can't Copyclip & Paste from the new 2002 to another.

Did the acdb17.dll - no luck
rebooted & tried again - no luck
changed proxygraphics to 0, unlocked layers, -purge, wblock - no luck

I don't have time on this project to get up to speed in 2007. The acdb17.dll worked on another drawing a few weeks ago, but now NO LUCK!

    Help please

No..I read through it & seems it's still unresolved.

I tried one more thing I read & it worked.

Opened the saved 2000 dwg (I think), did a DXFout, DXFin, saved as DWG & Inserted-Block-"the new dwg" & is working.

Glad I only had one to do.

Thanks for posting back what worked for you. I'm sure someone will appreciate the info in the future.

Question Re: No AutoCAD 2007 to 2002 Copy & Paste fixes work...

    Hi

I realise you have found a workable solution, but did you actually do the following ( I am curious is all )...

ID: DL7450124 - Hotfix - Cut and Paste

Once the hotfix is installed, drawings that are subsequently saved in AutoCAD 2000 and AutoCAD Release 14 formats will work as expected. However, drawings that were previously saved in these formats from AutoCAD 2007 will continue to have the problem unless they are resaved with the hotfix applied. The 2000 from 2007 Find Utility below can be used to help identify those drawings. If you have a large number of drawings that need to be resaved, DWG TrueConvert is a free utility that will make the job easier. Make sure you apply the hotfix to DWG TrueConvert before resaving the drawings.

    2000 from 2007 Find Utility (exe - 222 Kb)
    Readme (html - 11 Kb)

    Mike,

    Yes...
I did save again from 2007 to 2000 - no luck
I installed the Dwgconvert & converted to 2000 (after moving it to another folder since it overwrites exist) - no luck

    Hi Bill

    Thank you

I assume you did, but I have to ask - Did you apply the Hotfix to DWG TrueConvert...

Make sure you apply the hotfix to DWG TrueConvert before resaving the drawings.

Thanks Mike...I did not realize the hotfix had to be applied to Dwgconvert. Can't remember reading anything about doing that.

Is it the same acdb17.dll file?
