Default AutoCAD LT 2006 - Trim and Extend, using the Shift key

Do Trim and Extend work the same in LT (2006) as in the full Autocad? I am following a tutorial which shows how to use the shift key to switch between Trim and Extend. The tutorial shows Trim working with an extended, or virtual cutting edge, but it does not work in my version since the cutting edge and the line to be trimmed do not intersect on the screen (but are at right angles to each other). Does this not work in LT or is there a setting I can't find to correct this?

    Hi Bob,

Does LT display options on the command line? If so, have you looked at the Edge option? I am not sure how to change system variables in LT, but the system variable "EDGEMODE" handles this option.
