    Default Paint all "By Catergory"

    Hi Everyone

Hope there is a simple solution to this one:

I have a building model that has been made using concept walls.

The building as then been painted to make it appear correct.

I want to take this model and paint everything back to "By category" so that I can see the concept materials.

Is this possible in one operation.

    Regards

    Dave

There is no global way I have found to select the walls and restore them to there original exterior or interior face materials after painting them with another material.

The only way I have been able to change them back is to select the paint tool, set it to By Category and start selecting all of my walls. Remember the paint tool is a single selection process when you change the surface, therefor it is reversible in the same single selection method.

If you used the same material while painting all walls then you can simply delete the material and all painted faces should be cleared in a single command.

Of cause if this material was used for other purposes then its deletion will have other side effects.

    Hi Guys

    Thanks for your replies

I was kinda hoping for an automatic way, hoping there was a way that I was unaware of.

    Doing it manually now.

    Regards

    Dave
