If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.
You will get a quicker response from your fellow AUGI members than if you sent it to me via a PM or email.

As far as I know I was the original Anti-F1ee to remove and suggest the lack of an F1 key on a keyboard, but you forgot to Scotch tape the hole.Originally Posted by stusic
GOT TO SCOTCH TAPE THE HOLE.
It just looks funnier that way... and it actually keeps some gunk out.
People used to laugh at me for that..
But it actually works..
Now they just laugh at me for totally differnet reasons...
I've put silly putty in the holes.Originally Posted by madcadder
I always hit the F1 key when aiming for the escape key. I even made a button that has the same effect F1, but i still have the habit of hitting F1. Is there a way to customize AutoCAD or keyboard setup so that you have to press and hold another key and press F1 to activate the help files? I like the idea of Ctrl + F1.

Sounds like you guys have a lot of experience with this key removal thing.
I need a tip or a trick..............
What do you do when you have a drafter that removes the Esc key by hitting it half a dozen times when he wants to end a command? Do you replace it with the F1 key? Can I undefine the Esc key and get him a foot pedal, punching bag or something?

Ok, if it is your own personal computer or a personal keyboard I have no problems with this tip, but if it is a company keyboard, please realise that you are destroying company property, don't do it, ask your IT guy to disable the buttons instead, there are ways to do this.
