    Smile Learning Lisp

Hey all. There used to be this really neat thread that had all sorts of methods people had recommended to learn Lisp. So...

What reference materials do/did you use to learn lisp? And what was you opinion of them? (ie good, bad, beginners, advanced, etc)

Thank you for any help in resurrecting this thread!!!

I wondered what happened to that site, also. Hope it will still be available.

    Hi Wolfgirl

If you're into good old fashioned paper, there are a couple of good text books out there.
For novices, the best one I've seen is:

    AutoLISP Programming: Principles & Techniques
    Author- Rod Rawls
    Publisher- Goodheart Willcox
    ISBN No.- 1566374170

    For more advanced folk, there's:

AutoCAD Developer's Guide to Visual LISP
    Author- Nikolai Poleschuk
    Publisher- Charles River Media
    ISBN No. 1584500913

I teach an introductory AutoLISP class at a local college, & these are the texts I recommend to my students.

We will return under a new domain name, when I get the time to make the move.

I found this zip file on a website.....looks like lesson plans to teach lisp.

    Hi

Sorry for the *edit* but I believe it would best if the file Lesson.zip was *not* posted on the AUGI web site unless the author has given their permission (if they have then please accept my apology and repost the file).

Better still, please post the URL to Lesson.zip so people can go to the authors site directly and download the file for themselves.

AUGI can not take chances with regard any Copyright infringements that may exist + It would be only proper/right to get the author's permission before posting their work.

    Thanks for your understanding,

    Mike
