VIZ 2007 and ADT 2006 - Apply different materials to Wall Objects on different Layers

I have run into an unexpected snag that has really stumped me. I linked my ADT 2006 model to Viz 2007. It includes walls on different layers that I was planning to render with different materials. To my surprise, when I apply a material to one wall, all walls receive the same material regardless of the layer they are on or if they are selected or not! I have tried relinking the file so that no objects are combined (entity link option) and this still happens. Does anyone have any idea why this is happening?

Hi Greg, you should uncheck Propagate Materials to Instances in the material editor options menu and that will do the trick.
