Default door opening through tile wall over cmu wall

i cant find the thread that shows the trick to guarantee that all thin (tile) wall right next to a regular (cmu) wall will automatically use any openings (door) recognized by the regular wall. i know i read it here before. it actually had attachments as well.

can anybody point me to that or can anybody help me on this? ive done this before. all i did was to join the thin wall to the thick wall. now that ive split the tile walls for accents, i can't seem to make it work no matter how i join the walls.

    thanks in advance.

If you are using wall sweeps, be sure the sweep is "cuttable". It is a check box when creating the sweep. It's default is not cuttable. If two separate walls, join the walls together. Should be cut by the inserted items then.

thanks. i did try joining it but it does not work. i wonder if i need to start from the beginning and redo the accent because the original green tile wall did recognize the opening.

i know i can also modify the profile but i'd prefer a more flexible solution so that when i end up moving the opening, the tiles would just follow.

    thanks.

maybe you can explain this to me more. i tried the sweep before but had to redo it because it seems to need to break walls since it reads a whole wall to sweep. for example i have a long wall that on some rooms i need to tile. so far the only way i could think of in using the sweep option is to break it in the spans where i have tiles. and i have all this long walls in my project. is this correct or im doing it wrong.
