Not that I'm aware of... A lot of us have that need.
(I like your Av)
This is not drawing dependent. Go to Format/Layer Management. Then you can select Layer Key Styles or Select Layer Standard. Depending on your version of ADT, you may be offered several layer key styles. Any of the AIA layer styles comply with the NCS, in that the NCS adopted without exception the AIA layer standards.
The NCS is currently being revised, but the layer management portion is being expanded, rather than contracted. More choices are sometimes better.
Depending on which (If any) Government Agency you are working with, you can download them from thier individual web site. The one I recieved was from the US Army engineer Research & Development Center. But Each Agency may have thier own. I know that the one I recieved from the US Army was different that the one I recieved from the Veterens Association. Of course you could always buy one. If I can find the website I got it off of, I'll post back.Originally Posted by rhayes.99001
We were pretty ticked off that the CD that comes with the NCS didn't have drawings already setup on it matching the standards they've outlined.
I don't understand that comment, since ADT OOTB includes the standards in the layer key styles.Originally Posted by Steve_Bennett
I guess I wasn't really all that involved in getting that stuff set up. I was more mad that once someone set it all up for v2, v3 came out (And it was different) and then v3.1 came out (and that was also different). So we converted all the drawings we had already done for a current project only to find out that this particular faction decided that they didn't want to convert to the 3.1 standard. So we got to change all the colors back again. How fun is that. All I know is that we spent about 20 hrs to create a perfect script to convert one way, only to convert back to the way it was.Originally Posted by Steve_Bennett
Well, what if I'm too lazy to extract all the layers for someone running vanilla autocad??? I'm back to square one...Originally Posted by cgraham
A simple LISP routine can create all of the layers from the Layer Key Style, but the Layers Defined in the Layer Key Style are a small subset of the layers described in the NCS.Originally Posted by Steve_Bennett
