    Exclamation Highlighter Ability

Description: Be able to highlight (like a highlighter on paper) anything inside a DWF.

How Used: Highlight pieces of the DWF as reviewed, not red-lined.

Feature Affinity: If the Design Review is supposed to be intended for electronic review of drawings, then this is an essential piece that is missing. Any reviewer will tell you (and so will the persons getting the reviewed drawings back) reviewers will highlight what they've looked at as reviewed ok, unless there is markup and that would be in red. Right now, you have to use the line tools and change the color, but this will still show up as a markup. The highlighter should not show as a markup since that is not the intention of using a highlighter.

Thank you for this feature suggestion. I will pass it onto the Product Manager and Product Designer.

Thanks Scott. I was just very surprised when a client asked me if there was a highlighter and there wasn't one. The client felt without having that ability, it would be hard to review drawings...and I would have to agree.

I was just wondering if there has been any progress on this. Our office is looking into using Design Review to markup plans but this seems to be a very fundamental feature that has been left out of the markup tools. I can't imagine it just wasn't thought of, so is there any specific reason it wasn't included?

Our next release of Autodesk Design Review is not scheduled to come out until next year. Your feature request will certainly be given consideration but I cannot promise that it will be included. Autodesk always likes to hear from customers regarding feature requests.

Have you looked at the Properties section of Navigator within DWF Composer or Design Review? If you have the properties selected as a navigator item and have Markup Properties selected, you can select the markup and modify the status, select either Question, For Review, or Done, either of those selections will place a highlight around the geometry of the markup.

    Hi,

A freehand and rectangle highlighter were added to Design Review 2010.

    Best,

    C.
