Default Stretch & Flip of Parking Block

ive been attempting to get the attached parking run to keep the stretches together, and flip rather unsucessfully for about 3 hours now. i can get the flip to move everything correctly, but when i do the block stretches itself, or i can get the flip to work, but it leaves the stretch points in the original position. the stretches - i had them sort of working, but i cant seem to get the handles to stay attached to the lines.

ive seen similar blocks, but cant seem to figure out what it is im missing to make mine work =/

    Hi Chad,

Sorry it took so long to answer this ....

Make sure you include, in your flip, all your actions, parameters, grips and drawing objects.

A flip is unique in that absolutely e'erything has to be included in with it .... it's a bit more complicated when there's both a vert and hor flip, but the idea is the same. Include everything.

    This should fix everything.

thanks =) i swear i tried it with everything in it and got some wonky results.

im still have issues with the 2 stretch options on the side. i can get the stall stretch to include the everything needed, including the curb stretch - however i cant get the curb stretch to keep the overall stretch handle. ive run through what i can think of, several of which gave me errors about referencing itself or something along those lines.

I don't doubt it. AutoCAD DBs have a way of sometimes making the user look crazy even though he ios perfectly sane.

I was just going to post about the 2 issues you're listing. I'm looking at it right now, but it's lunch right away and I probably won't get around to it till around 2pm or so, if you can wait ......

It doesn't look like it's very complex an issue, but I'll reserve advice til I can guarantee what it is ...

If you include the first distance in the second stretch it seems to work (tradeing one evil for another)

Yes cad crashed on me (hence the [recover])

Talking Re: Stretch & Flip of Parking Block

I figured out what the problem is .....

Your second parameter (the one that controls the right hand curb width) is set to "Chain Actions" So that whenever you stretch the stall width, the curb will stretch as well. Change that and you should be ok.

Have a look at what I did to it and let me know what you think. It's a bit different as I used a move parameter instead of a stretch, but it gets the same work done and maybe less confusing .....
