Default Copy & Paste Table into another DWG without losing formatting

I have created a Table for a BOM in an Imperial size border sheet (36x24). When I Shft+Ctl+C to copy it and drop it into another drawing (different scale) and then explode it everything I preset in the original gets thrown out the window. Is there a way to copy clip a table from one drawing to another without losing the presets. Xrefing doesn't do any good either as soon as you Bind it into the new drawing and exlpode it everything is lost.
    Thanks

    Hi, Don.

I'm going to move this from the AutoCAD General forum to this one, as I believe it will be better served here. Thank you!
