I want to create a match properties tool palette with all our layers on it so I can convert some old details to the new ones quickly.
Is it possible?

I got some insight at the DC AUGI CAD CAMP. If i can make a matchprop command I can put that command on the tool palette.
So I need help making the command.
I would like it to match prop to a layer (with bylayer for everything else) (and create the layer with color and linetype if it is not in the drawing already). Then I will make an additional command for each match layer that I want on the tool palette.
Perhaps layer match my get me there, but I would still need help on the string to type in for selecting or generating the layer.
The command string for matchprop is ._MATCHPROP.
Do you want a pallette that contains a line for each layer that is or should be in the drawing?
Interesting thought. I wonder if something like that would be useful?Originally Posted by jaberwok
What comes after _matchprop??????Originally Posted by jaberwok
Ther are about 10-12 layers that are most frequently used in the office and i want to place those layers on the the tool palette for easy access instead of using the design bar or open copy paste. This will be most helpful when converting existing drawings and details to our standard.
Lots of people draw and then change the layer after, when the layer they need is not in the drawing you end up with alot of errors b/c no one looks for the layer or use the template 100% of the time. This palette will help reduce the errors.
