    Default Rename a Central File

Sometimes after starting a project. We change the Name after we get more info on the project. Can a central file be renamed? Thanks

It can be, but I've found out that all the local files lose their paths back to the Newly Named Central File. So you would have to have everyone open the Central file and do a new "Save As". This is the case whether you rename a local file or folder, or the Central file or folder it is in also. From what I've experienced it doesn't mess anything up, you just have to resave your local files again from the Central file.

If you just use Save As you only end up with another Local File. You must use Save As AND click the Options button and check the box next to "Make this the Central location after Save".
