    Post Windows 2000 and ADT 2007 Sp1

We have a few computers that still have Windows 2000. It seems that those computers are having more problems than usual. Has anyone experienced problems using ADT 2007 w/ Windows 2000.

On a side note: We were using a shortcut created from XP. We went back to the 2000 shortcut and made our changes in 2000 and it seems to have taken care of the major issues (crashing, fatal errors, etc.).

Any other experiences good-bad. I know ADT 2007 doesn't have Win2000 on its recommended system requirements, but ADT2006 did, Hmmm. I am still skeptical.

    Thanks

I believe for 2007 products they dropped any platform other than xp from their list of supported platforms.

I was afraid of that, are you sure they weren't just recommending using XP.....I know everybody should be on XP anyway....Although the people that are on Win2000 are just learning ADT2007...so they haven't really stepped on the gas. When the actually start using it I kinda expect some problems.....I'll keep everyone posted on any problems.

    Thanks

I think its probably more a case of they haven't gone through the laborious testing programme using Windows 2000 that they did with XP. So it might work and probably does give or take a few bugs. But if they don't support that OS anymore then SP's etc may not be compatable.

It will be the same the other way around when Windows Vista arrives the likes of Acad 2004 will probably still work on Vista but it won't be supported by Autodesk.
