Angry Why is my Express Tools Text Mask masking the TEXT along with the stuff behind it?

    ARRGGHH!
Why is my Express Tools Text Mask masking the TEXT along with the stuff behind it?
(And using the background mask within the Mtext command isn't doing anything at all.)

When I first did it within this drawing it worked fine - I have some text that's masked perfectly. This was in the same drawing session, nothing changed.

And now it's working properly again...for no apparent reason.

As a workaround, you can ungroup the text and wipeout, TEXTTOFRONT the text, and regroup.

use DRAWORDER and set the text to Front. Mtext background mask works much better than the Expresstools text wipeout.

This works fine and all but it is still working around the problem.

I tend to use WIPEOUT and Display Order, once it is set it seems to carry on working fine.
