Cool Can I insert a PDF document in a 2002 layout?

I fear that the answer to this one may be so obvious and I am going to feel very stupid about the answer, but - I can't figure it out. But, I have a document that has been sent to me in PDF format and I need to insert onto a paper space/layout. Any suggestions would be most welcome!

    Thanks in advance,
    Suzy

You can't insert a PDF directly into AutoCAD. You can convert a PDF into a file AutoCAD can read. You might have to do some clean up work.

What you are asking is akin to inserting a *.zip file. You would need to extract the document from a pdf first. Off hand, the only way I know of, is using Acrobat Professional.

Adobe Illustrator can export a pdf to a dwg. Also using GhostScript and GSView to get a dxf file. This options if free I think.

AutoVue can also convert a pdf to a dwg. Lots of cleanup required though.

if you have access to illustrator that'd be the way to go. I use it all the time and there's very little cleanup if any needed. If you dont have access to it. Id be happy to convert it for you
