taskbar just opens new instances of CAD doesnt it (i dont have it open atm to check)? i would much rather have this addon than the taskbar gizmo. i dont like having lots of things in my taskbar. i use tabs in firefox, why not in autocad?

Yes, TASKBAR simply shows the different drawings as if they were programs on the taskbar. The buttons on the taskbar (meaning the windows taskbar) do not show the drawing name; it shows the program name and then the drawing name, so you can't easily see which drawing you are trying to open. Also, the more drawing you have open, the smaller the buttons are on the taskbar.

This new tool will show the drawing names on tabs inside AutoCAD on a toolbar (for lack of a better term) that is docked to the top of your drawing screen. You can click on those tabs to switch drawings; and you can right click on those tabs to save, close or open new drawings (along with a few other tools I haven't really looked at yet). It is very similar to the free program mentioned above.

True but us non upgraders still read the 07 threads so that when we get the budget to upgrade, we know the Good the Bad and the Ugly.... This bonus tool is definitely the GOOD.. My big question is now for anyone whose installed it. Can you rearrange the tabs?
