Maximize drawing window

Hi All
I have Acad 2007, recently installed, and I cannot get the drawing window to maximize when I open a drawing or Acad for that matter...I am sure that it's a sysvar but I can't figure out which one of the 10,000 it is...any help would be greatly appreciated.

Are you running dual monitors? I sometimes get that when CAD crashes(yes it happens occasionally!). I have to maximize cad to one monitor, then maximize the drawing window, then hit restore down. That makes it stretch across both monitors again and keeps the drawing window maximized.

Why yes I am!
Although I had Acad 2005 and it worked fine? What does hit restore down mean?
