Default error while moving Vault database to a new location

I followed the directions I got from my reseller to move the Vault database but when I try to attach to the database in the new location I get an error (see attachment). The reseller was not sure why I got the error.

These are the steps I took:

    Stop service
    Detach the Vault
Move mdf and ldf file to new location using explorer
    Attach Vault to new location

I moved the database from my local PC to a Windows 2003 server. As far as I know Windows 2003 Server is a supported OS for the Vault so I can't explain the error. Does anyone have any ideas what the problem might be?

Edit: I am using Vault 5 (build 11.0.118.0) that ships with Civil 3D 2007.

It appears the SQL Server requires the MDF and LDF files to be on the same computer. You can't put them on a network share.

The MDF and LDF files can be moved to another SQL server.
