I think you had too many beers over the weekend.
'Blipmode' try this in the command line.
had that problem too a couple of weeks ago - got rid of it by activating another profile. Couldn't find the command fot that - thanx
It COULD also be Point Styles.
If points are set to X and set to a fixed (absolute units) size as opposed to a relative size, that could also be the issue .... right?

blipmode is a setting independent of any command. the problem was 'every where i pick'...Originally Posted by max.sabre

and just because my permanent setting for an endpoint snap will grab it. i don't have 'points' activated in my osnaps. it's also a common setting on other users machine, and since most of them don't usually have 'insertion' selected either, it's a good entity to have at the base points where they need to select a block at it's base. ~shrug~ dunno, i stumbled on it on accident once and have used it ever since. (i didn't think a 0 length line could exist, but apparently it can!)

Creating zero length lines seems like a lot of effort compared to using points. Also, since A2005 (I think), acad automatically deletes zero length lines and single vertex polylines on file open.
