Default 4g RAM and the /3G Switch

So I've installed 4g of ram and added the /3G switch to the boot.ini....Everything seems to work fine, bios shows 4g, and windows shows 3.5 (which I think is normal) but if I look in the journal files for Revit it only shows 2g

The developers are looking at the problem but I thought I would check to see if any of you had any experiences with this since they take forever to respond.

I belive that 2 is the max... I also believe that the 4 is overkill, cause Winblows will actually only use 1 of the remaining 2, but hey you're all set when they release the 64 bit version . Hopefully I'm wrong and someone else will correct me.

There could be something wrong with your configuration. Check that you don't have a lot of memory sucking services running in the background. Revit indicates free physical memory.
Our systems are all 4GB with 3GB switch and it has increased our stability tremendously on our large projects.

Right now mine says: MaxProcessMemorySize : 3145600

Mine see's it as well. Did you remember to reboot and select the instance of Windows that has the switch on it? We changed the ini file here so that you get the option which "versio" of XP to start up, and i just have to select the one that says 3gb in the title. Of course, the IT guy accidentally but the 3gb in the wrnog title, so make sure its the right command line that you put the switch and the title on, lol...

My system sees 3.25, of the 4 that are installed. It might be over kill, but when we're doing model cleanup, i have three instances of Revit open, each with a 100 MB model opened. And they all fly...
