Default Embedding JPGs into DWGs so they stay

I have finally discovered an easy method to inseret JPG's into drawings and they become a part of the drawing. I wanted to share this as I have not found a totally workable solution in AUGI or the ADG sites. My method is to open the JPG using Windows Internet Explorer and do a right click to COPY the file to the clipboard. I now go into AutoCAD and I pick Paste Special. The dialog box that appears has only one option "Device Independent Bitmap" which is how I paste it into the drawing. I can then move and scale the "picture" around as need be. I sent the drawing to another person on another network and when they opened it the JPG now a BMP was showing just fine. Thought I would share this in case others are having problems with getting corporate logos, in my case, to stay with the drawing. The original title block drawing I was given became 2.3 megs for a title block which is absurd. Now it is about 300k and much better. I attached a tiny JPG of the Paste Special dialog box for reference. PS: I found out from the ADG if you rotate the title block or whatever the JPG Logo stays straight up and down. Darn. However it is simple solution for 99% of the time.

    Hi

Celie Dailey has a submission on the AUGI Exchange that covers that topic...
