That is your traditional Fatal Error. It can be caused by a number of things, a corrupting hard drive, bad RAM sector, or a broken install of AutoCad (I would think the last one most likely).Originally Posted by jsauler
Try using your AutoCad install CD and run a repair, it may be that easy.
Other than that; the usual shut down and restart may clear it. If you have the time, check your hard drive for bad sectors (this can take a couple of hours, depending on hard drive size). Also, make sure that you have space on your hard drive and that your page file size is adequate (400Mb at least, from memory, but check that).
Does this only happen with a single drawing or any drawing?

Are you plotting with a Hidden Shade Plot? It also happens to me when plotting a very heavy 3D model in Hidden mode...could be a memory problem.
Hi
Take a look at the following post...

Issues / Problems with random crashes are notoriously difficult to resolve due to their very nature.... hopefully Ed's little guide will help.

Have a browse of the following thread ( it does not answer your particular problem, but hopefully you will find a few pointers that you may wish to investigate )...
Fatal Error ... blah blah blah
Have a good one, Mike
