Default Cad standards checker settings & enforcement

Does anyone know if in acad 2005 you can have the cad standards checker be set to only check dim styles and/or text styles and ignore layers. I ask because we will soon be getting it. Additionally, can one force the checker to be on for all users, say thru acaddoc.lsp?

Yes to selecting only the features one wants to enforce the standards on.
I would suggest using the Batch Standards checker, rather than attempting
to run the standards checker at the beginning of the drawing session, as the
user hasn't had a chance to make an non-standard entries yet. Perhaps
redefining the SAVE or OPEN command to call the checker after they have
worked in the drawing would be a better approach.
