Unhappy Walls - Structural Usage : Bearing and Non-bearing

    Hello,
It seems that when I place a Bearing wall meeting with a Non-bearing wall, the line work does not cleanup. There is always a line separating the two. I have to change the Bearing walls to Non-bearing to eliminate the line that appears on all views. I have tried painting the walls with the same material and applying the same wall finish to both, but no luck getting rid of the division line.

Is there any way of using both types of wall without having a line dividing the two ?

    Thanks in advance.

I don't see that happen here. Could it be the Analytical model line ? Try turning that off in Visibility/Graphics

i dont seem to have that issue. i only get this line when i have different materials in the wall family. if this is your case, there is no way to get rid of this line locally. you could turn off commom edges for walls, but this would get rid of all the "inner lines" on all walls.

    Did i miss your point?

Thanks for the quick replies. I have attached a simple file with 3 walls of the same type; the only change is the structural usage to illustrate my problem with different structural usage (Bearing, Non-bearing, Sheer, etc...) walls meeting.
In the image, the first wall is bearing and non bearing, the second walls are sheer and non bearing, the last are non and non bearing (no lines in that one).

it might be what you are looking for, but i changed the wall joins condition to miter instead of butt and it works. Not really how it would be constructed, but the lines go away like you wanted.

In most cases I use a masonry wall meeting a structural wall so the end has to be a butt end. The masonry walls are non structural, and the concrete wall structural, so the line appears. It took me a while to figure out, didn't make sense to me. I changed all the concrete walls from structural to non-structural so it cleans up alright with the non structural masonry walls. I just wish it would clean up depending on the surface material rather than the structural usage. Thanks for your help.
