Default Link Visibility and Lookup in Dynamic Block

Im trying to create a dynamic title block with preset scales built in using the lookup parameter with a linear scale action set up as list. my question is if anyone knows a way so that when i select my lookup paramter and changemy title block from full scale to 6" = 1'-0", is there a way i can also have it change the text calling out the scale so i dont have to manually do it each time?

You could insert a field into the value for the scale attribute that reads the name of the lookup.

If you have the lookup already set, you're almost there!

when you make your attribute, (do all this before hitting ok in attribute def box), you want to add a "block placeholder" type of field. look for 'lookup(X)' in list from center column, and hit ok. just remember that if you change something about the block that makes the lookup list reference the 'custom' entry, your attribute will then say "custom".

    hope this helps!
Sometimes, i get lost in my own thoughts and need to ask directions to find my way back.
