Activate the crop region of the view, select the crop region and then use the rotate command.

    I don't get it
    I selected the view
    clicked on properties
scrolled down to extents > crop region
    turned on that check box
    hit ok
    highlighted the viewport again
    hit the rotate button
selected my base angle and then click to 90 degrees and also tryed typing in 90
but it just stays the way it was

go to the view, not the sheet(you can do it there but to keep it simple). now highlight the crop region and select rotate, type in the rotation you need.

See attached image and refer to "1".....this is a much quicker way to turn crop regions on/off or to hide them. Rotating crop regions tends to frustrate new users since it will cause your building to rotate in the opposite direction. See if the explanation in the image helps you understand why....

Question Re: How do I rotate a viewport

thankx this did the trick except 2 things

In the sheet my bubble and sheet title are in the middle of the viewport
Whenever I drag it away the entire viewport moves
    How do I fix that

I needed room names and dimensions so I put in text like
    LIVING ROOM
    20'x30'

Now all my text are rotated

I think I did this part wrong
    whats the best stragetory

It sounds like you are very new to revit. I highly suggest you do the "getting Started" tutorial. PUll the help menu down and select it. then do the other tutorials. As for the view title you can select it and move it indepently of the view port by clicking on its line. If you pick the viewport both the viewport and the view title will move together.

ya I've been playing with revit for 2 years but have never created CD's
Its wierd because at one point I could drag the end of the line of the viewport title but now I cannot change the length of the line. I didn't understand that selecting only the title was different from selecting the viewport

My problem right now is that the line goes off the end of the sheet.
The building completely fills the width of the sheet

If you have the view title positioned as Scott suggested above, then, select the viewport, and you'll see a blue grip dot show up at the end of the title line that you can drag.

    Your getting there...
