For some reason, this isn't working. Double clicking on my dimensions still just brings up the properties window. I swear I did it correctly!!!!

Also, I usually just use ddedit to edit dimensions, but lately I've noticed that some dimensions, even ones I've edited in the past, won't let me edit them anymore, and some do. Anyone ever come across this??? I"m using ADT 2007.

Are you sure you're editing the ADT CUI and not the ACAD CUI?
Did you drag the edit text command and does your CUI look exactly like the third image I uploaded?

It looks identical. I typed in CUI at the command line and used that one. I'm sure its set up right. I created dimensions under Double Click Actions, then did the drag N drop thing to get the edit command associated with the dimensions action that I created. Its just not working for some reason. I can still use the ddedit from the command line, I just like to know why things don't work on my machine!!!!

What about the advanced object name?
That needs to be named to associate the command action to the object type.
If you did that and it still doesn't work, then I'm lost as to why it won't.
Maybe try the VBA or LISP and see if that will work for you.

I figured out the problem.........I'M AN IDIOT!!!!!!!!!!! or as I like to say, I made an I-D-TEN-T error. I typed in dimensions instead of dimension. It works, all is well. Apparantly CUI doesn't like plurals.

1-Go to CUI double click actions and add a new one.
2-Put dimension in the general name and advanced object name.
3-Then drag the edit text command from the lower left hand corner to the new double click action.
From my understanding of CUI, it's only possible to do this if you are using 2007 ....

Is there a similar solution if you are using 2006?
