Default Viz Render - where is it in AutoCAD 2007?

I keep reading in various places that Viz Render comes with Autocad 2007. I have ADT 2007, but the only place I can find any mention of it is the tiny icon in the lower left portion of the Drawing Status Bar that has a greyed out comment "Link to Viz Render..." What am I missing?

VIZ Render does not come with AutoCAD 2007, only ADT and ABS include that. For 2007 versions of ADT/ABS they turned off the option to install it by default and you and to perform a custom install and choose to install when setting them up. If you already have ADT/ABS installed then you can simply go to add/remove programs and modify your installation of them to include it.

    Hi

Or do you mean the new Render engine that was put into AutoCAD 2007 - Mental Ray.

Below extract comes via the Autodesk web site "AutoCAD - Features in Depth: Visualize"

This technology includes the use of preset renderings, as well as slider control that allows easy trade-off of time versus rendering quality. The new rendering, materials, and lighting enhancements make highly accurate rendered images available to any AutoCAD user, enabling you to achieve effects that previously required additional applications.
    Have a good one, Mike
