Use LENGTHEN command to list Line length
A quick way to find out the length of a line (or multiple lines), use lengthen. Just type in lengthen on your command line (or whatever shortcut you have, mine is LN) and click on a line. It will tell you the length on the command line. The nice thing is you can click as many as you want (one at a time) without retyping the command. It also tells you the perimeter of polylines and the circumference of circles. I use it on ADT 2007.

Very interesting tip. I will add that it does not show the length in a dynamic input box.
Still have to use the distance command for those who have the command line hidden.

ahhhhh, good note. I'm not a big fan of the 'ol dynamic input box.
