Angry Attribute Extraction from feature classification

I have few feature classification files that i have created. I am creating feature class for my conduits and pullboxes. I would like to extract the information from my feature classification into a table similar attribute extraction. Can this be done.

    Thanks

    Hi

Please explain exactly what you mean by...

Extract the information from your feature classification

Example - How is the information stored in the first place ( Attributes / Text / MText / etc ).

    Have a good one, Mike

Mike, is feature classification available in vanilla AutoCAD? AFAIK it is a Map3D operation. Perhaps the question belongs in the Map forum.

I had thought that info in the data grid could just be copied & pasted into a spreadsheet, but that doesn't seem to work in the current Map3D version.

Currently, i am using map3d 2007. By using feature classification, you can identify what each layer is used for example instead just being a line, it can be a conduit with some inteligence behind it. The intelligency can be stored as object data. We are trying to use this feature so we can do our quantity takeoff for cost estimation and enforce cad standards.

    thanks

    Hi Vahe

    Thank you

Please note I have *moved* this thread from the AutoCAD 2007 General forum to this one...

Why? - Feature Classification is not a function of vanilla AutoCAD.

    Thanks, Mike

I have not used feature classes extensively, but i believe you can extract the data by attaching the drawing and doing a query. I would assume a Properties query because you can see Classes in tools like Quick Select.

No copy and paste doesn't but the options to export does.
