    Post Getting Started with .NET

What are the best sources for getting started in VB.NET?
I currently program in LISP and VBA.
I'm looking for books, references and examples.

Before starting coding acad, you will need to get familiar with .Net. I've found the samples at VB at the Movies helpful. MSDN also has some online books, one on upgrading from vb6 and one in general. There's a lot of webcasts you can learn from as well.

After that, you can go to acad developer center and download the arx sdk and NET samples.

Book: The .NET languages; a quick translation guide by Brian Bischof
[includes VB and C# side by side]

Available remaindered from http://www.hamiltonbook.com/hamiltonbook.storefront. I think I paid $3.98 for it. Might be sold out.

I just tried it again, and got "request can't be served". Typepad.com must be having some trouble or Kean is working on his blog again. The last post said he was working on the rss.

I'm new to the Revit API and am quite lost with it right now, but I have .NET experience. One of the best learning resources for .NET programming is ...

    www.learnvisualstudio.com

They offer many hours of training videos on both beginning and advanced topics.
