    Default When erasing hatch boundary goes also.

    Starting lately when I erase something that has been hatched the boundary lines erase also. Also any lines that touch the boundary lines erase also. I am running 2006. It does not do this in the same drawings on other computers.

    check your assocative setting in your hatch dialog box. it could be checked to be associative, & if so, that's why the boudary disappears.

    I don't want to disable the assoc. of the hatch I kind of like that feature. Here is a simple test to let you know exactly what my computer is doing. Draw 2 circles that overlap slightly now hatch one of the areas with the assoc. hatch on. Now erase the hatch. On my computer now I looking at a blank screen. Everyone else in the office still has both circles on the screen. I can even send a drawing that is screwed up on my computer to someone else and it works fine for them with the above example.

    weird, I still have both circles. where is your hatch being placed as far as the draw order with the boundaries?

    not the hatch associativity in the hatch dialog, in the options dialog

    tools->options->selection tab

    in the bottom left the very bottom box, it is associative hatch, make sure that is not checked.
