demo wall sticks into existing wall

When I assign the demolition tool to a wall that is connected to an existing wall, it'll show the demo wall lines going to the core of the existing wall and not stopping at the face of the wall. Please take a look at the screen shot. I would like to get rid of the demo lines inside the existing wall.

Can anyone help me on that?

Try using the edit wall joins tool & see if you can get it to clean up.

What you want it to do is stop it at the face. Just select the grip/ disallow join/ then pull the grip to the face of the wall.

Just pull the grip to the side of the 'surviving' wall. (There is no need for 'disallow join').

There is if you want the edge of the editing wall to be solid. Otherwise the two will join and there will be a break in the existing wall's linework.
