controlling table information from a dynamic block

select the parameter and set the min. & max. in the properties palette.

ok i set it up with 0" minimum and 200" maximum (thats a big door!)

but, i still cant seem to type in a range in the lookup input properties under that linear parameter. if i try to type 0"-200" or 0-200 or 0'-16'-8", it just defaults back to 0" when i hit enter.

the range is contained in your parameter, while the lookup will always ask for absolute values.

maybe i am grabbing for air here, but what the heck..

could i set up another lookup parameter that says when visibility=no midrail, that the midrail centerline aff dimension=0", then in the original lookup parameter, say when the centerline dimension=0", the lookup properties=NONE

sounds logical to me..but i cant seem to add lookup properties in my property lookup table.

ya know... i think you've finally hit on how to use the "lookup to lookup" feature. when you go to add properties, make sure to select the radio button at bottom to look for other lookups...

right, thats the problem im having now. when i select 'add lookup properties', nothing shows up in the list?
