2D section callouts???

I have been working on a project in Revit that has no 3D components to it. It is a very small project and there is no need for 3D. I am essentially working off a 2D AutoCAD import drawing.

How do I create a section of a 2D drawing that will link to an imported 2D detail? I have tried creating the section from the 2D plan, and then placing the imported detail drawing into the detail view, but a warning message regarding my visibility and parameters always pops up.

I have attached two images. One showing the portion of the 2D floor plan that I want to section through, and the other of the detail I am trying to link that section to.

Any ideas or solutions? Thanks for your time!

when creating the section there is a box in the option bar that says reference other view. if you check this you will be able to select the drafted view that your detail resides in (assuming that you have created the drafted view first).

Thanks so much for your prompt reply! Right after I posted, I was playing around with it some more and found it on my own, but it's nice to get that kind of confirmation that I am doing it correctly! Thanks again!
