Default Greetings and a quick question....

    Hello All,

I will be completing my RS5 training this week and thrown into my first project next week kicking and screaming.......just kidding.

I will be monitoring tis board and will try to help whenever I can.

we typically show steel elevations at a column line in ''single line'' mode depicting top of steel and centerline of vertical (wind) bracing. I successfully changed the settings to depict top of steel for my beams but when I did this it also changed my bracing to show top of steel. When I select the brace, the work points are in the correct location. Any ideas on how to show both the beams and bracing correctly?

    Thanks a million in advance.

    Welcome to the forums Tony,

If I may ask, how did you achieve the top of steel for your beams? The reason I ask is that there is a setting (under instance parameters-Structural) called Stick View On Top. Just select the member(s) you want to have with the single line representing the top of steel and in the properties check that box. This should get you where you want to be (unless I'm not understanding you).

    Good Luck with the class!
