Is it not loaded with the rest of pulldowns? Have you changed your .cui file at all?
The tools menu is not generally loaded with ADT. You may be able to find it on the windows/pull down pull down. What tool are you looking for?
True. Was assuming Dave was using CAD, You could customize the format pulldown and place the command (license borrowing) in that pulldown instead of the "tools" one
In ADT 2007 it is:
Help
About
Click on Product Information in the upper right corner
Borrow license is at the bottom, middle.
Hope that helps
oops, I just read your request again and you already know "help, about". I need to quit skimming over what people write and actually read it!
Again the issue is that there are hundreds of users in my company
I cannot issue a statement saying modify your cui even if I could figure it out
I just want the tools pulldown menu loaded in the OTB ADT.
Do you want to install ADT as Acad or as ADT? There's an option to run ADT as Acad. If you can figure out the CUI, you can export that to a server, and simply have your users load it.
The AutoCAD menu set (which includes the Tools menu pulldown) is seperate from the ADT menu set. To clarify what David posted, you can choose in the installation of ADT to run it as vanilla AutoCAD or as ADT. If you run it as AutoCAD, you have no access to any of the ADT functions and vice versa. If you want BOTH sets of menus, that is not possible ootb. You will have to get into the nitty gritty of the CUI if you want to see the Tools menu, whether you want to get involved with the CUI or not. The users won't need to do anything if you do things right. If you do not want to get into the CUI, then you will have to instruct your users to adapt to their new environment. But that is really skirting the issue and you will be involved with messing with the CUI eventually.Originally Posted by Dave Lewis
