    Default Procedural question

    Hi All,

I am trying to create a family of a fire strobe... I have gotten quite a ways into it and it all works, however I am stumped on one issue.

The fire strobe can be broken down into 3 groups, each with 4 subgroups:
    - Stobe Only
    - 15, 30, 60 and 110 Cd's
    - Horn/Strobe
    - 15, 30, 60 and 110 Cd's
    - Horn Only
    - 15, 30, 60 and 110 Cd's

I have got the annotation symbol linked into a geometric family. I have types developed that actually show the area of coverage. However, I want to place a piece of text next to the horn symbol that shows the number of Cd's that each symbol represents. I tried creating new parameters in the annotation family that represents each value, however when I reference them in the geometric family and load them into the project, they don't work. I am on a tight timeframe with this. Can anyone offer any suggestions?

    Thank you!

without really seeing what you have done with your family i would ask is your parameter a shared parameter?
