I am trying to create cantelevered a glass railing but cant see a way to have zero balusters
am I missing something?

Just make a wall 6mm thick ( or whatever) and assign a glass material.

I would make custom ballusters that are glass panels. Then you can space the panels however you'd like. Although they are called 'balluster' families, they are really quite capable of being almost any element in a custon stair. There was some custom stair examples here in the past, and Phil Read from Revit is the Stairmaster!
