    Unhappy Snapping to imported DWG

I've searched the threads and found no answer to this althoough there was similar thread that went un-resolved, so here is my problem:

i imported a 2D dwg last week and began modelling by tracing over the plans etc.
this morning i open the same project and can't "snap" to anything within the imported
DWG file, and therefore can't continue to trace accurately.

Does anyone have a solution for me?

    TIA

    Adam

I've just re-loaded the import, ensuring that the current view plane matched the level at which the import came in (..or vice-versa) and i can now snap again.....!

It obviously has something to do with the relationship of the import to the view you
wish to work in, but i think that relationship is a bit obscure at the moment?

In Revit 2019, reloading the link is still the fix. Don't know why it happens, but reloading seems to consistently fix it.
