Default Revit ending session without creating Recovery

While saving to Central I have received a message saying that an "irrecoverable error has occured and the file will be closed and since it has recently been saved will not create a recovery file"

This is a new error message and one of co-workers also got this message.

Is this a bug or what?

This is probably not a bug (in terms of the you should panic type of bug). I have seen this message many times. Usually, it means that you are trying to do something that Revit does not like. This message is simply telling you that you have not made any significant change to the file since the last time you saved. If you had, it should ask you if you want to save a recovery file.

    1. What were you doing specifically when you got this message, editing a sketch?
    2. If you are getting this message and concerned about its meaning and the reasons for it, get in touch with Autodesk and they will ask for your journal file (it records every single click you make). From there, they will be able to tell you what you were doing that ticked off Revit and caused the crash. If you want a definitive answer after that, you can probably give them your file if it is not monstrous in size...
