    Default Points not showing up

    I have 5 computers with Acad 2005 on them and only one of them is having this problem. We have X's as the point marker and I have checked the settings on all of the computers and they all are the same. I have searched around and could not find any suggestions other than "pdsize" "pdmode" and gone into the formatting for the point style. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Using DDPTYPE is one size set relative to the screen and one set relative to absolute units?

    Currently it is set for absolute units. But I have changed this and still nothing has shown up

    Some obvious things that you have probably already done, but it is worth checking;

    The layer is switched on and thawed.
    You did Regen after changing the PDMODE, PDSIZE and DDPTYPE settings.
    The point colour is not set the same or very similar to the background colour.
    There are actually points there.

    Yes and I just did it again to make sure, but now the points have disappeared on another computer. I am lost! *L*

    The next question to ask is; is this specific to any drawing or project or is it specific to a machine(s)?

    Also, are the points in question native to the drawing or are they Xreffed in?

    They do go funny when you colour them in.

    Check SHADEMODE is, as John suggests, 2Dwireframe.

    Question Re: Points not showing up

    Hi

    Have you looked at comparing the AutoCAD system variables between a good user and the one bad user?

    If no, I would try there. If you require information on how to compare AutoCAD system variables, try here [ RE: Selection Set Variable for Filter command ].

    Have a good one, Mike
