Default Why is my strip footing visible?

I have a slab edge profile that I'm using as a strip footing. It is 1 foot below my finished floor. My view range is set with the bottom and view depth at the finished floor level, but the strip footing is showing in my floor pattern. What am I missing here?

I had a similar problem once with a pasted bitmap. Its viewport was much bigger than the image. If the viewport stuck into a section that was beyond the object itself it kept showing up.

Check your foottings section box/ viewport and see if it is sticking into the floor area.

All floor slabs within 4' of the bottom of your view range will be visible. (see Additional View Range Rules) in the Revit help.

I don't see how, because the last time we printed the set, I did not see the strip footings in plan, but they did show up in section. I also had slab edges turned on in the plan view because my curbs were showing, but not the strip footings.
