Question AutoCAD Architecture 2008, when should we look to roll it out?

we are currently using ADT 2007, and when it came out we waited until the first SP came out to move from the previous version. will this be necessary with 2008 since there isnt a data format change as there was with 07? after a little bit of research, im pretty stoked about the annotation changes, and would like to get that up and running as soon as possible, since i spend too much time changing annotations around to display properly.

I just got this in an email from Cadalyst...

    "Release Dates

The new AutoCAD and AutoCAD-related applications are slated for a late March release, and non-DWG based products (Revit and Inventor) will come roughly a month later. As usual, these dates could move a little, but at least you now know when to expect your new subscription CDs to start showing up."

    Plan your research time accordingly.

i understand when the tenative release date is - im wondering if we should wait until the first SP rolls out before we look to upgrading, or if it wont be a big deal since there isnt a file format change.

My plan is to roll it out after my third party software is updated. It will probably be early this summer.
If you have a technical question, please find the appropriate forum and ask it there.

I would likely just role it out on your own machine, test it a bit, then let it go. From what I've seen and used its been a stable release in beta yet most people will keep it on the shelf for a couple months and let others test it. All in all its a solid release, also, if you have any Vista machines that are giving you issues with AutoCAD then this release is the one that should aid in fixing that issue. Most people are having no problem with Vista and AutoCAD 2007, be we are already running into clients that are having minor issues that have needed to be worked around.
