It looks like Autodesk has a hotfix for the KB918118 text issue.

And all this time we've had 3 shifts of IT and CAD managers working 24 hrs/day for a month attempting to fix this problem, and we just now discovered there's a fix. They're attempting to bill both Autodesk & Microsoft for their time. You'd think they'd get the word out a little better. (It's probably sitting in the IT mgr's Inbox). We always assume we've screwed things up here before checking that maybe someone else did.

If your VAR didn't give you a heads-up I would give them an earfull. Also keep a close eye on the forums.

Our VAR is spread a little thin. Whenever we call, there are several layers of "filters" answering the phone before a message can be left for the one with knowledge. It's usually easier to work around!.
There's always another VAR... and they do know how to send out bulletins....
