Unhappy Linework Doesn't Look Right in dwg import (was Superchunk)

    All,

I'm having a graphics issue with a .dwg file linked to my Revit site plan, if you zoom in, the .dwg linework gets "chunky" - see "site chunk - in.jpg" - yet when zoomed out, it looks o.k., see "site chunk - out.jpg". Anyone else experience this? Video card issue? I'm using this as a reference background only, and you can snap and select the lines, you just can't see them easily, quite frustrating.

    Thanks,

Did you try using the "thin line" function from the View Menu? I believe that "TL" is the keyboard shortcut. It should change the line weights in the view to make it readable when zoomed in.

Nope: Thin Line does not help, my Revit vendor was not able to reproduce this, but I have been able to on several different machines. One thing, if you strip out a portion of the file (say, the tree drip lines) and import that file .dwg, then it looks fine. Weird.

Is the original DWG origin far away from the actual drawing linework? This will cause this problem.

I guess I'm missing the point...chunky? I don't see what you're talking about in the pictures posted.

If the 0,0 point is located very far away from the actual drawing in autocad, that file can cause issues when linked into revit.

Yes! The 0,0 origin was miles from the plan center - the display is now correct.

    Thanks!
